Hello all and welcome to our new website which has been set up as instructed by Head Office. I would like to thank Frank for sorting it out for us, it’s very much appreciated. Hopefully we will soon get used to the new format and find it user friendly.

Please let us know if you have any camping related news, photos or hints and tips that others may find interesting, so that we can put them on the website.

I hope you have all had a good time over Christmas and New Year and are looking forward to getting out and about again. personally I’m looking forward to being out in the fresh air catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.

Let’s hope the weather is kinder to us this year and we don’t have to cancel any meets because of bad conditions. It was disappointing last year particularly at Spring Bank when we had to cancel what would have been our last time camping at Eskdale School in Whitby. This year all being well we will be getting a dose of fresh sea air at Mr Moos’ Ice Cream Parlour in Skipsea.

Our first outing this year is at Drax Sports and Social Club from 7th to 10th March, this is a popular site with those who enjoy good food and reasonably priced drinks in a friendly setting.

Before that a bowling night has been arranged for 8th February at Go Bowling in Shipley. Thanks go to Bob and Mandy for organising this and taking bookings and food orders.

Last year I won the mens trophy which was a big surprise especially as I was kept in the dark until it was announced at the AGM, I’m pretty sure it was a fluke and I fully expect to be handing the trophy to a new winner this year. Anyway whether you win or not it’s always a fun evening.

For those of you who won’t be at the Bowling evening, I will no doubt see you in a field somewhere, perhaps at our ever popular Easter Meet starting on 4th April at Pateley Bridge Showground.

Our AGM will be held during this meet at Pateley Bridge Memorial Hall on the 12th April starting at 12.30pm. We had a good attendance last year and hopefully you will come along and support us again. Hot drinks and a Buffet will be served after the meeting and I look forward to seeing you there.
